ENCISS works with a number of state agencies which includes the; The Strategy & Planning Unit that supports the Office of the President at State House, Development Assistance Coordination Office (DACO) that oversees the implementation of Sierra Leone’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, the Decentralization Secretariat, Anti-Corruption Commission, Public Sector Reform Unit, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs. ENCISS supports the effective functioning of these state institutions by providing direct technical support to their activities, facilitating engagement of civil society with processes they undertake and providing financial and logistical support through the ENCISS grants programme. Anchored in the Ministry of Presidential and Public Affairs ENCISS has direct contact with the Office of the President of Sierra Leone providing a vital bridge between citizens and the Government at a very strategic level.
